Schützenhaus, established in 1907, is the oldest
German Club in Southern Africa. It was
privatized after 98 years and is now a
prestigious Guest House in Keetmanshoop. It is
situated in the Pastorie Street and its tranquil
surroundings are a true resting place for the
weary traveler. It is the ideal base station for
guests wishing to explore the fossil trail, fish
river canyon, Quiver tree forest, giant's
playground and other tourist attractions in and
around Keetmanshoop. Here you can re-live the

Travel by car: On your journey in southern
Namibia, driving south on the B1 from Windhoek
you will reach Keetmanshoop after 482km. Coming
into town on the Sam Nujoma Drive continue till
the Robot intersection (Petrol and Service
Station is situated to your left). Turn left in
a southerly direction into Fifth Street till you
reach the Pastorie Street (3rd road). Turn right
into Pastorie Street traveling in a westerly
direction. After 400 meters you will reach the
Schutzenhaus Guesthouse, which is situated
